before i had an ssd loading screen was like 1 to 2 minutes long. you could check masteries, ranks, eternals, splasharts, funny names etc. i knew that my pc was one of the reasons that loading screen “was this long”. but i never thought yeah ITS JUST you. but ever since i got an SSD loading screens are like 15 seconds max. theres not even time to appreciate or look at all this stuff. who the hell cares about a border which you sometimes can only see for 10 seconds??

    League isn’t really a game that should go on SSDs tbh, you gotta wait for everyone else to load in either way, having your OS on the SSD is enough to not be the one player that everyone waits on

    Only OGs remember when loading screen used to show everyone’s ping, so when loading time took especially long everyone would flame that person with high ping. Also when you yourself had a toaster PC and you genuinely didnt know if loading was taking that long or you had to restart it. Had to see if the ping was moving and shit. Good times. Much better times.

    Borders, and other exclusive things, are popular because of FOMO (Fear of Missing Out). Splash arts are made to sell. Imagine what would happen to skin sales if Riot stopped making splash arts for them.
