I’ve searched for this, but can’t find any websites that have all this. Does anyone have a resource that shows you your net economics of an EV purchase based on upfront model cost, miles/day, fuel cost, efficiency (mpg / wh per mi), fuel inflation? Other factors like resale value, maintenance, tax credits would be helpful but not totally necessary.
I feel like this would be a valuable resource that should exist, but I can’t find it!
I have a spreadsheet. Not all that hard. Purchase price, mileage, energy costs, maintenance costs you can use a rule if thumb of half the cost. Here’s some good rough data on cost per mile for maintenance. Depreciation is the toughest, no one really knows right now. Once you subtract incentives EVs hold up OK long term.
I did the calculation and it was too depressing as an EV would never make sense. So I just bought as a treat for myself.
