JayEmm discusses recent 911 prices in the UK.

I have to admit that I’ve always found ADM for these and other exotic cars curious. The cars I like depreciate like Zimbabwean currency so I only look at appreciating cars from the outside. These are luxury items - toys - and this sub protests passionately against ADM especially on the 911. Yet at the end of the day people are still paying it. These are not necessities. If ADM was such a problem for the market people could just…not pay it. No one will die if someone doesn’t get a GT3 RS in their garage next year. Not having one will have no negative impact on a potential buyer’s life except that they wouldn’t have their latest $300K+ toy to play with. But that hasn’t seemed to matter. People have been happy to pay over list and beg dealers for an allocation.

Anyway, based on this video (there’s a good section of Jay checking UK Autotrader with price trends) prices seem to be steadily coming down in the UK. I have no idea if the US market shows the same trend, but if not then the UK market may be foreshadowing the US and it may just require waiting a bit. To people looking to buy a 911 in the US: have you noticed anything similar?

    I suspect this isn’t going to end - most people that are willing to pay ADM want to get in while they’re still ICE cars to be had in the market. Even a hybrid 911 might be a bit much for some to stomach, much less a full EV version. So yeah - this is all about ICE FOMO, and I doubt even with the second thoughts some car makers are having about EVs, that ICE only cars will remain around for much longer.

    The governments and climate change mongers won’t let ICE cars live for much longer. Pay an ADM now, or pay an exorbitant classic car price someday.

      I’ve only just got my FL5 but I’ve read your reviews before and would be very interested to see a GT4 comparison.

    As far as I know there is still an ADM ($5-10k) on even base 911s in the U.S, and goes up to $20-30k for the GTS model, which had a 2-3 years wait anyway.

    But that was like a couple months ago, so my info can be outdated.

    Are they selling out like crazy? There’s always a ton on display in Irvine CA. Maybe they just keep them there for show?

    992.1 allocation…ADM included ceramic, PPF and 2nd year maintenance. $18k.

    But I’ve waited 2+ years so I’ve basically given up and wanted the last analog rpm on a manual 911 built.
