Schroder was so good for us in the clutch. Proven chemistry with the guys and would always bounce back from injuries. Why wouldn’t we keep that continuity? And Lonnie we could’ve resigned on a cheap deal using non bird rights and if it failed could’ve easily used his salary as trade filler. Coaching is another story.
Dont worry we have Max Christie lol. 28% FG, 10% 3PT… and his fanboys still got the guts to say hes ready and he CAN shoot
Mfers really gave Vincent the MLE over 3 years but didnt even think about securing Lonnie
Lonnie was terrible for most of the season. Schroder is missed though. His defense saved Reaves and Dlo.
I’d say Schroeder and a backup SG for Monk/Beasley/Lonnie departures, someone you can thrown in and on a good night can give you points.
Dlo is exactly this guy, but we are starting him as PG. Or guard rotation is down to 3 players, 1 hurt and 2 unathletic. I was telling it since free agency, but you guys told me … “but Max and Reddish” … so be it, Pelinka makes millions to take care of the roster.
Max and reddish are unproven and not playoff ready. Lonnie can contribute and showed us that
Schroder was an energy guy too.
Pelinka really chose trash reddish over Lonnie walker smh. Garbage gm
Feels to me that signing Vincent over Schröder was a change for changes sake. Yes Vincent played really well in the playoffs, but I think Schröder adds a dynamic to the team that we are now sorely missing. I get Schröder made a little bit more on his contract, but are you telling me he wouldn’t prefer to have stayed in LA and play with 2 top 10 players and Reaves? I didn’t love letting him go in favor for Vincent in the summer, and I’m disliking it more now.
We essentially replaced Dennis and Lonnie with Gabe and Taurean which I consider to be upgrades but we gotta wait for them to be healthy and develop chemistry with the team before we see success. Remember we were 2-10 last year and made the WCF. How a team looks in November is pretty much irrelevant
