    Preface: I am not a Djokovic fan, mainly because I always found his nice guy persona really fake.

    That said, I have been enjoying him more in the last year and have more respect for him giving it back a bit more, he’s being more honest with crowds and with himself. He is that classic Serbian with a chip on his shoulder that crept out when he was down or under pressure, there’s no need to pretend to be someone else.

      Appreciate what you’re trying to say, but saying he’s “fake” at being a nice person is very disingenuous. Just because many fans in the west don’t like him, and he has started to own that rather than change their minds, does not mean he is finally showing his true colours of being a jerk or something. He’s just reacting appropriately given the history.

      His grace in defeat is all you need to see to know his true kind persona.
