Bonus:
Cason Wallace: 8.8pts / 4.9 FGA on 82% TS! This kid is a born shotmaker and play finisher.
Isaiah Joe: Remains OKC’s best volume 3PT shooter taking 6 threes per game and making them at 40%!
Davis Bertans: shooting 20% from the floor and 20% from three? But He’s only taken (5) FIVE whole field goals this season and all of them have been from three (go figure lmao).
Overall I’m ok with the distribution given how heavy the Thunder are in young developing talent. If I had one thing to change I’d want to see us make effort in getting Chet more shots from three. We miss him on a lot of great looks, and that shouldn’t happen with all of the playmakers that we have and how good of a pure shooter he is. Chet is leading the NBA in 3P% at 55.6% (min 3 attempts), I’d love to see his 3PA bump up to 5 or 6! We need to see if this cannon is authentic!
top 4 guys are also getting to the line really well. Shai (6.3), Dub (4.0), Chet (3.8), Dort (3.4), Giddey (1.1)
Would love to see Giddey get a few more whistles, he often gets abused on the way to the rim.
I’d love to see him sit on the bench.
His issue with that is that he avoids contact. For example if you compare him with Shai. Shai gets contract and then gets space from his defender whereas Giddy gets space before the contact.
I don’t think it’s worth noting Bertans. He’s played 23 minutes all season
