Small sample size obviously, things always look wonky in the beginning of the year and then stabilize as the year go by, but still extremely impressive. Can’t remember the last time a rookie had this level of impact in advanced stats. Maybe Luka or Zion but they still had the typical rookie poor defensive stats while Holmgren is already one of the best defensive players in the league.

For reference top 15 rn:

Jokic

Embiid

Steph

Mitchell

Scottie Barnes

Derrick white

Sengun

Tatum

Doncic

Kristaps

Maxey

Anthony Davis

Shai

Chet

Also looks like Chet’s the best white American since Kevin Love and Hayward. Pretty cool. Herro’s been looking like he’s on the path to being a legit star. And we likely got another one on the way in Cooper Flagg. There’s been a massive drought of white American talent recently and maybe it’s turning around.

Chet was an advanced stats god at Gonzaga too. But people were still skeptical because he looked weird.
