Was shopping around for a 2023 Macan, and the day I was at the dealership (June 2023) the salesperson informed me that there was a new Macan in the lot that the previous customer who ordered it did not want it anymore. Was pressure to put down $5k to secure the purchase, and even though I thought I did my due diligence in terms of reviewing the purchase, I did not clarify with the dealership exactly when the car was delivered to them.

Car drives great, I absolutely love it. But first month in the Macan starts to says that service needed on the vehicle. Called in and Porsche assumed it might be a computer error/needs a reset. Next day brought it in and the Technical Advisor informed me that the car was delivered September 2022. So it makes sense that a 1 year service was needed.

This is complete news, and when I spoke to the manager (since the salesperson no longer works there) she mentioned that this is the first time they have heard this. So now they’re waiting to speak internally to see what solution they can provide.

I guess my question is, what is the best course of action on my end? Car had 50 miles when we picked it up so we know it wasn’t a test drive car… I’ve just never heard of something like this.

Thanks in advance!

Oh no! You didn’t buy a car that immediately left the trailer! The humanity! Nevermind the weeks and/or months it sat in lots prior to delivery.
