I bought my steam deck a couple months ago because I was thinking I will have 3 or 4 years before they release a better version. I read everywhere how valve doesn’t plan on upgrading or releasing a new deck for years to come.

And now they release a bigger screen, bigger battery, oled, wifi 6 and probably better thermals?

What gives Valve? I hope to see a trade in.

Your fault for listening what the Verge extrapolated from what Griffais said? 🤔

This is a revision, not a SD2. Stop the crying.

    Dick move IMHO.

This “revision” is new hardware. This is a PC, not a console that are limited to the same performance

Steamdeck OLED is a higher performing PC that OG SteamDeck, meaning access to more games.

This is new, higher performance hardware in every way that is relevant to PC gaming and then some.

Its not just a better screen. Its not just cooler apu, its not just bigger battery.

    2025 my ass.

I appreciate the upgrades, but that was a scummy statement, especially for those who just got out the return window.

There is a protest march outside Pierre-Loup Griffais’ home later tonight. Details on Steam Deck community page.

Bigger screen? I thought it was the same size. What are the sizes?
