There were so many fans who wanted to draft Tyrell Terry over Maxey… could you imagine?
I love thinking how Maxey was rated around 10th or so to be drafted, and 20-some teams passed on him before Philly.
In retrospect, it was crazy we were all cheering for Ben Simmons to just make a single feee throw and Fultz just to make a single 3 pt shot. It was crazy we were hoping Harden would show he gave a damn when the lights were brightest.
Maxey is such a breath of fresh air. He’s getting his flowers now but I’ll never forget how hard he hustled during the Miami series and how personally he took the loss to Boston. Thank you for drafting this man Daryl 🙏🏽
