Steam deck is pretty modular can’t folks just swap out the screen themselves?
Yeah but they’ll see that limited edition I want and get those instead…
Scalpers can get fucked.
To play a bit of devil’s advocate, from what Ive seen scalpers are usually people from parts of the world with virtually no better ways to make money and/or people with very few economic opportunities.
But not always, sometimes it’s just some broski with too much time and money on their hands lol
I mean, I’ll happily buy up all the scalped Decks once the scalper economy inevitably crashes and they start going for cheap. I know a few people in my community who could use a good gaming PC :)
I always thought if you buy some and then upgrade them to have one terabyte and Hall effect sticks then it would be worth reselling it at that point because you put the effort into upgrading it and whatnot but just buying one and reselling it on its own is not worth it unless you live in a place where it’s not natively sold.
Random fact I looked at like 1:00 my time and I looked like 30 minutes ago and they ran out of refurbished Deck’s both 64 and 256 versions.
The limited edition is North America exclusive, so to get it anywhere else the scalpers are the only way to go. As a EU citizen i’m fucked
Are there really lots of people still trying to sell large amounts of them? I’ll admit I was tempted to sell mine once I received it but I’m glad I didn’t.
Get rekt
I going to buy I 512 gb
They can join the PS5 and Xbox Series X Scalpers in scalper hell
I don’t know is what they were thinking anyway haha, it’s been readily available for retail like 75% of its run.
