I rewatched the second half of Boston game. I think we really need somebody like Mike Conley. A guard who can play with a ball dominant guard, can handle the ball when Maxey goes to the bench, and a calming force during crunch time.
I don’t know who fits that bill and who is available. Tyus Jones from the Wizards?
Here’s to hoping there’s no letdown tonight after the Celtics game and against a not so good opponent.
Loved Nurse after 3 minutes of shit play pulling Kork whose turn it was as possibly our backup pg. And Nurse demands focused, good D that translates into the offense.
Even Maxey was sat early in the 1st last game to think things over. And then there is how we closed in the last game, guaranteed Nurse was not a happy camper. Considering all that I would not want to be Detroit tonight.
So what exactly is the point of the in season tournament? I just don’t seem to understand, why does it matter at all? We already have a tournament, the fucking playoffs. This just seems like some marketing gimmick. I just don’t get it.
Nurse just continues to impress, this open mind approach is was so great to hear!!! Here is another awesome quote…
“Again, these guys are super high-level players, they put a lot into the game, they’re intelligent,” Nurse finished. “I just want to be as good as we can be, and that takes everybody. Everybody’s concentration, everybody’s ideas, everybody’s thoughts. So I’ve always tried to have those types of conversations.”
Every talks about how brilliant it was to draft Maxey with the 21st pick, but in the same draft, Morey also took PR with the 58th pick. He may not develop into a 4 that can play next to Embiid, but it looks like Embiid finally has a competent backup that is playable in playoff
And he also took Isaiah Joe who has turned into a solid 20 min per game rotation player for the Thunder. Pretty much perfect draft for Morey.
I’m excited to see how reed grows under Nick Nurse.
