Hilarious how one of the few claimed selling points Gordon Murray mentioned was how it fixes the F1’s problems, specifically poor AC, yet Top Gear explicitly calls out how the AC is still unable to keep up in hot weather. How abysmal was the F1’s AC if Murray considers this fixed? lol

So rare to get something so singularly focused. This embodies the form follows function ethos. Pagani is a work of art. T50 is the perfect street driving machine.

… we were told by chief engineer Nik Hoyle that, “there are two things Gordon loathes above all: rear anti-roll bars and cupholders”.

Interesting - I wonder what the effective roll rates on each axle are.

Actually, it’s not my favorite sounding V12. While it is unique and commendable for its high-pitched, high-revving sound characteristic, it lacks the “bass” of some other V12’s: Ferrari F50, Murcielago LP640 and Pagani Zonda 7.3. I feel like those cars do lose a bit of “F1-style high pitch sound” compared to the T.50, but still retain most of it while having tons of “bass” to match the high notes.

Still, impressive and important benchmark for car enthusiasts & instant classic. Does the original McLaren F1 due justice in my opinion, especially with the cost + regulations to develop a car nowadays, he really did the impossible.

Might consider trading my 1.9tdi Golf for one of these, lets see what the next year brings.
