Yes I said it, even more it hurts when I see how blizzard cares about it. I think the potential of this game is absolutely massive but its being murdered again and again by its own developers, blizzcon news atleast shed little spark of hope again but we will see.
Anyway, despite that, I think Overwatch is the best pvp experience ever made.
I have 5k hours in ow since launch so yes, I am biased.
But I think the core is just amazing, the heroes, sound design, maps, HUD, so clean, lively and just pure joy. Its just missing steady stream of content.
I tried to find another pvp game for long time but no luck. Mw1 with warzone was great during covid, apex was fun for few months. Fortnite, its absolutely amazing how epic cares about their game. If ow was treated the same it would be in another dimension, but since they added bots in fn it became very boring. bf2042 was sadly epic fail, valorant or cs is fine but thats it.
I am excited for The Finals, that beta was really fun, but its gonna be hype only few months again, I am not getting my hopes up.
The only game which can keep its magic is overwatch, I really hope there will be one day, where we feel the potential being finally used by the developers.
Is there someone who loved ow for long time but think that they will never come back?
I would like to be hopeful with the MS takeover he has said some really positive things that could be for the better of OW and Blizzard games in general. I didn’t watch blizzcon but watched a few videos covering it and was pleasantly surprised by how much they shared.
I’ve tried multiple fps games like you CoD, Apex and the Finals. Nothing comes close to OW in enjoyment. CoD honestly feels boring after a while yeah its fun seeing how simplistic run and gun gameplay and dropping high KD ratio, Apex tried it but never clicked I can never hit shots consistently lol and I dont enjoy running around the map for 90% of the time, The Finals was fun but I feel like I wont stay long with it.
I really hope the promises they made in blizzcon and things the devs said will come soon (next year was it?). Personally put in 2k hrs on OW but probably closer to 3k since I lost alot of stats and play alot of pve events during OW1 days and those didnt count.
I still enjoy OW to this day and its by far the best fps game. Games do get frustrating either toxicity or just general things out of your control but no other online game comes close to the enjoyment to OW.
I’m excited for the potential future of the game. I hope this time next year we’re still on an upwards trajectory. It doesn’t even have to skyrocket, slow and steady upwards, gradually convincing people to stay/join, both players and devs. I’ll be able to play this for years of we can deliver on the current promises and trust in the idea that Blizzard’s new autonomy and goal to create good games not just money dumpsters is an actual thought, not just ashowerthought
LMFAO no it aint.
