Not so excited about the serve-clock reduction(it is mandating time on serves, not how long until you can no longer hit the forehand).
But they eliminated warm ups in college dual matches, and it is fine.
Are they actually serious with the no warm up? What in the Christ…
I had to read carefully because the first time I thought it was saying these rules were being applied to all tourneys next year.
Gotta say that rule on time being reduced from 25 to 15 seconds if the previous point included fewer than 3 shots is just gonna be confusing to the players. I like the idea of starting the match right after the coin toss though. The few minutes of warm-up after coin toss always seemed like a bit of a let down. Wonder how they’ll deal with the balls then, as I understand the warm-up is also for the players to get a feel for the balls and work them in a little. Will they use the same balls from the practice court?
