Hey so, Few things…

I’m so tired of the combination of these 2 words.

Regardless of how great Wemby was/is…we had/have a ceiling.

It’s a very young team; they are super long, athletic and they try on defense. (the PHX outcomes, one day will be the norm)

Sochan is a less-hyped Ben Simmon. Less talented ball handling wise but isn’t scared to take a look for himself.

Tre Jones is a decent point guard, but IMO even with an increased chance of a turnover with Jeremy, he’s going to apply a greater defensive pressure on whoever he’s guarding…as well as having a greater presence regarding team defense. He’s a lot bigger than most guards, and with him at the 1 team length is a true strength and will be a problem for the majority of the league.

I don’t think Jones starting/Sochan not ever playing PG changes anything. I’m glad we don’t have CP3. I don’t want to waste money/jeopardize having the money for a player that actually matters when it matters.

Let Jeremy continue playing PG. He’s going to get better at it, there’s no need to panic. I don’t see any benefit in Wemby moving to the 5 & Jeremy to the 4. I like Jeremy, I’m excited to see what the Spurs can become with him as PG. This team is being built a special way if we just develop it. I believe they’re a rebounder away from consistently winning games. I’d prefer to continue to lose games for draft purposes in the hopes they draft a rebounding/enforcer type center(I don’t know who fits this description)

If they want to win now, they should deploy Collins as a rebounder instead of spacing the floor/shooting 3s or whichever big man they have best equipped to primarily rebound.

IDK if they want to win games and I’m, as I said, totally on board with that.

Point of post, when we continue to lose I don’t think it’s the “Sochan Experiment” failing. It’s not fair to blame him as PG for why we’re losing. We’re in the early phases of our babyface(wrestling term:google it) stage; we’re growing stronger chemistry & culture every game and it’s only going to continue to trend that way with support.

Bad turnovers aside, I like that sochan is now starting to hunt size mismatches on the post. I have the opinion that good offense is basically predicated on at least one player forcing help and double teams. If he becomes good punishing mismatches like that, it’ll lead to the defense helping which allows ball movement and better offense. I don’t he necessarily needs to have kyrie/steph level handles to be a good PG

I think Sochan is gonna greatly benefit from this very new, very hard challenge at 20 yo. We may not see it but down the line, it’ll pay off. Either way both him and Tre are getting lots of minutes so it’s all good, we’ll be alright

Why not just have Keldon come off the bench and slide Tre to point guard. Surely KJ won’t have a problem with that.

I love watching Jeremy play. He has great energy and hustle. He’s also obviously extremely talented and, as an NBA all rookie last year he is sacrificing by playing a position he likely has never played before under the very bright lights wemby has brought to the team. Also like wemby, his many talents but lack of a go to skill on offense as of yet make projecting him and his game very hard.

I see already steady improvement. His perimeter defense is getting better, he’s also bring the ball up a but faster and more efficently, seeing the go ahead pass more often. Last few games his offense has looked better to, scoring double digits and with solid efficiency.

I proud of him and proud to have him as a Spur.
