When I play in survival, I always put Mending on my bow. I like that it means it’ll never break, and I always have enough arrows for the way I play the game. A shulker box filled to the brim with arrows is 1 inventory slot and always suffices for me, plus arrows are cheap (gold farm => easy spectral arrows).
Most people I watch on YouTube always go for Infinity, it seems. It’s trading my inventory slot for the need to make and enchant a new bow every now and then. I get the idea, the convenience of always having enough arrows, but I don’t like the idea that my only bow breaks when I really need it.
So which one of these mutually exclusive* enchantments do you prefer to have?
*when you play the game normally
Infinity, 100%. To put things into perspective, I’ve had my current survival world for nearly 3 years now, and I’m still only on my second bow, which I only had to make after losing my first bow when dying, and that alone was probably over 2 years ago. Granted I haven’t played for hours every day and have taken numerous breaks, but still, infinity is the way to go.
Mending, I usually grind fletchers to get effect arrows, I really like them they underrated
