So Lindsay is by many fans said to be overrated and one dimensional, I cant believe it man. A running back first job is to run and break tackles and get yards. thats how he made the pro bowl with us before we did him dirty, Now i see revisionist history saying he was one dimensional and we let him go at the right time, imo we could have kept him a couple more years.

I hate the fact that hes criticized for not being a recieving threat or blocking, who tf cares for a running back lol, look how good Gordon was at receiving and blocking, yet he sucked at getting good yardage and fumbling, in the end thats the most important aspect of the game. But everyone agrees gordon sucks and refuses to give Lindsay his flowers.

Lindsay should have been on the team instead of him man hes a hero for us.

He was super fun to watch but ultimately way too small and not durable for a RB…they knew he was going to flame out very quickly

now I see revisionist history saying he was one dimensional

    Because he fucking was lol

who tf cares for a running back lol

    anybody who understands football…

If a running back can only run the ball, you know it’s going to be a run when he’s on the field

If a running back can also catch the ball, you have to be prepared for a pass or a run

If a running back can ALSO block a pass rusher, you’ve just wasted a defender in coverage or negated a blitzer

Phillip Lindsay had feet for hands and blocked like tinkerbell. People say he was one dimensional because he was one dimensional. Opposing defenses knew it was a run when he was on the field because he was a liability in the passing game.

When a guy leaves the Broncos and people say “he shouldda still been here, he was great” look at where he actually is right now. There are 31 other teams in the NFL, all looking for talent. If a guy is legit he will be found.

This applies to Philip Lindsay, MG3, Drew Lock, Dalton Risner.

Risner is playing as a starter and seems to be doing OK so far in Minnesota. Lindsay and MG3 are out the league and likely never coming back. Lock is probably a career back up from now on.

It says something that Royce Freeman is still in the NFL and Lindsay isn’t.

But still, back to back 1,000 yard seasons as an UDFA is a better sporting career than 99% of guys who try to make it in the professional leagues.
