Blizzard must have gathered an order of magnitude more data than they normally would with internal playtests thanks to the Mauga early release weekend. Hopefully he’ll release in a good state because of that, but is there any reason not to continue this for future heroes? I feel like lifeweaver might not have released in such an awful state, and also Illari might’ve been a little bit tuned down if the wider player base got some time on her before the full release.
Only if this new approach actually results in better/quicker balance adjustments. If it doesn’t, it could be viewed as evidence of drip-feeding content that is arguably ready to be released sooner rather than later (even though it really isn’t).
