Blizzard must have gathered an order of magnitude more data than they normally would with internal playtests thanks to the Mauga early release weekend. Hopefully he’ll release in a good state because of that, but is there any reason not to continue this for future heroes? I feel like lifeweaver might not have released in such an awful state, and also Illari might’ve been a little bit tuned down if the wider player base got some time on her before the full release.

They should just stop Overwatch 2 and try again with 3. I’ve never seen such a self destructive sequel before.

They should, and I would love for them to do it with Venture and for space ranger, really cant wait so long for them, they are revealing space ranger 9 MONTHS AHEAD! It should hype more and they would gain money bc people would like the hero and say this is really fun, procceding to a person buying the bp.

I hope they do. They already showed gameplay of venture, so why not just let us use them early like mauga?

Only if this new approach actually results in better/quicker balance adjustments. If it doesn’t, it could be viewed as evidence of drip-feeding content that is arguably ready to be released sooner rather than later (even though it really isn’t).

It would be neat, but the only reason they did it was to compete with Fortnite.
