Celtics fan here. I watched the game today and really enjoyed the Raptors’ broadcast team. They’re funny, give props to all players (even the minor guys), and give equal commentary on both sides of the floor. They might be the most neutral regional team I’ve heard. You guys already know this, but I wanted to share my appreciation.
I forget his name, but the old guy doing color commentary really cracks me up, and the play-by-play guy is super solid and has good chemistry.
Also props to Dennis, I liked him during his brief stint on the Celtics and am glad he’s still balling out.
Get that gahbage outta hea!
White mamba pretty good
They really do a good job of adding their own personalities and making things fun, I feel like that’s missing when I have to watch other team’s games.
Also not being super homers is a major bonus
Raptors have had the low key best announcers in the league. IMO better than any ESPN or TNT or local broadcasts.
They are underrated on both basketball knowledge and emotional intelligence and chemistry. I haven’t heard a single duo or trio in any broadcast with as much chemistry as Devlin has with multiple other announcers.
They get underappreciated a bit, because the home crowd sometimes thinks all announcers as as balanced and neutral, or the outside crowd has never watched them.
Guys like Devlin and Jack are genuine talents of broadcast and Alvin is coming along well! 😎💎
Honestly I would not watch as much Raptors without them. They make the bad games tolerable!
I watched the celtics broadcast, and they were pointing out bad calls against the raptors. This was refreshing as well.
Also, getting Porzingas and Holliday were brilliant moves.
It’s not always good. Glad you got to experience Matt and Jack rather than Matt with Alvin Williams. Williams is painful to listen to.
Yeah Jack Armstrong is the man. It’s hard to watch American media cover our team sometimes as they’re so out of touch. I really don’t blame them though, our national TV coverage is abysmal… an entire 4 games nationally televised this season.
