I’m getting a Deck finally now that the OLED model is releasing and battery life is significantly improved. The hardware has such good potential for so many games but I honestly have no idea what I’m actually going to use it for lol.
The best ideas I can come up with are basically every Bethesda RPG, Bioshock, turn based JRPG (like Octopath), and Halo. Idk if any of those are really like must have games that are system sellers. Maybe I’m just picky. I dunno.
My question would be what are things you use your Deck for? Either top 3 or top 5 would be nice. It’s like a half “what do you do” and half “what should I do” with the Deck. What is the game(s) that made the purchase worth it?
I know I’ll get a lot of hate but I love Fallout 76 on the Deck it’s very relaxing plus you can talk to people. People on this game are pretty chill

1.) Hades Beautiful, endlessly replayable, still one of the most played games every month on Steam Deck. Can be played for minutes or hours. A perfect portable game that’s best played on Steam Deck. 2.) Hollow Night My first game I completed on Steam Deck. I bounced off Hollow Night on PC, but the ability to play away from my desk got me to complete this game. It’s the first game that showed me the Steam Deck can be the ultimate backlog killer. 3.) Fallout 4 Runs at a nearly locked 60fps out of the box and roving around the wasteland is endlessly fun. Fallout 4 lends itself to portable play way more than I expected because of all the bite-sized side content on offer. 4.) Ori and the Will of the Wisps Metroidvanias are perfect for the portable form factor, and Ori’s gorgeous visuals running at 60fps without any compromises is something to behold. I cannot wait to replay this game on Steam Deck OLED in HDR. It’s going to be glorious. 5.) Doom Eternal God-tier optimization. The fact that something that looks as good as Doom eternal runs on a portable system at all let alone at 60fps on high settings is witchcraft. I never thought I would enjoy this game or any FOS away from mouse and keyboard but the controls in Doom Eternal are tuned to perfection.
I’m a huge WoW fan. Been really primarily doing this when I have a chance. Besides that just emulated everything from atari to switch.
Don’t Starve Together and Stardew Valley are the ones I play the most on the deck.

God of warSteam deck oled is not out so we dont know what game is the best for it, meaning low load enough to run at 90fps while having hdr to use the new display. For older steamdeck best games i found was Fallout 4, 60fps at high settings at native resolution, even fully modded.
It’s literally a PC.
For big games I have Diablo 2, Diablo 4, and BG3.
For Indies I have Risk of Rain Returns, Halls of Torment, and Vampire Survivor.
Slay the Spire
Elden Ring
Dead Cells
Diablo 4
Vampire Survivors
And currently Risk of Rain Returns. Amazing game.
Diablo 4
World War Z
Shadow of Mordor
Mad Max
Borderlands 2
Persona 5 Royal
Trails into Reverie(If I have too choose one, but mostly all of them are very very good loved every single one)
Tales Of Berseria
Final Fantasy VI/XIII(Yes I like Ff13)
Wolfenstein 2 The New Colossus (shooting is absolutely top tier)
These are what I enjoyed the most, wouldn’t have played them if weren’t for the deck. It made me get into Jrpgs
Are Final Fantasy 14/15/7 Remake any good on there does anyone know?
