I mean at this point, if they want to have a safe place just remove communication all together.
Ping changes have trended aggressively positive
I don’t know what type of surveys they using to confirm this take but I have a few issues with them.
- These surveys 100% biased because any form of communication removal will guarantee the result will be hard-positive.
- Changes completely ignore player feedbacks.
- These type of “data collecting” reinforces the sentiment within the palyerbase that their feedback will be only heard after huge harassment and threats.
What tehy should do is not biasing how players feel “safer” but collect data on the following instances changed after the removal of pings:
- Teamfighting
- Ultimate usages are better/worse
- Player’s attention to:
- Skirmishes
- General roams and ganks
- affecting 1v1 with global spells or by listening to ask for help pings/MIA pings/Danger pings
What is more interesting I have never ever met a single soul who liked pings changes. I keep asking in game chat every now and then and the answer was 100% no granted.
They have incredible amount of data to work from and they forcefully use the worst metric that reflects absolutely 0 player feedback but justifies their reasoning to remove palyer communication. These ego moves however will only warrant more harsh forms of player communication…
