I ran some numbers through the Players Split Finder on Stathead, and 4th Quarter Kenny is not our collective imagination. The stats clearly show that at least in the first few weeks of 2023, he has been stuck at the bottom in the first half, wakes up in the 3rd, and lights the league on fire in the 4th.
Thank you OP, this is impressive work.
Do you have the actual numbers?
I think ranks can sometimes be deceiving.
If guys are bunched up together, then small absolute changes can bring big changes in the ranking.
In KP’s case, I don’t think this is the case because he’s so terrible in the 1st and 2nd. But it could be.
Would also be good to see the splits here. We had an excellent 4th Q last game. My guess is that the 6 game sample we have so far is strongly influenced by that single game.
Data links are at the bottom of the post. I agree that a 6-game sample is very volatile.
