I got a 256GB LCD Steam Deck after the Oled announcement. The Oled screen, faster ram, better thermals etc. are all nice, but i’m mostly interested in emulation, and the price drop made the LCD Steam Deck much more appealing. It can emulate anything except for maybe PS3/360 (but many games run well as i’ve seen), at a similar price of other emulation handhelds like the Odin 2 Pro, and you get PC games on top of it. I also already have a pretty nice 256gb SD card so space is not a problem. The 2-3 fps increase from the ram won’t make a difference, if the game won’t run on LCD steam deck it also won’t run on OLED, and the boost probably doesn’t apply to every game. Basically if you are ok with the screen, the LCD SD is a great value today, provided you’re ok with not having the best model on the market, which is undoubtedly the OLED. What do you think? Did anyone else do this?
