Well. One thing is obvious. Our starting five is train-wreck.
And in my opinion it’s quite clear why it is so bad. The pair of guards Jones - Poole played together 189 minutes and in those minutes their +/- is -100. Basically it means if you want to win some game - never play those two together as the defense is not existing if both are playing.
Maybe coaches take an idea of “tanking” literally and just want to lose as much games as possible. If so - everything fine. But if we want to be somewhat competitive while rebuilding isn’t it time to take an action…
Now. Certainly most logical thing to do would be to take out of starting line-up the worst performing player which is certainly Poole and replace it by SG which will play defense as Bilal for example… But I just don’t think it’s going to happen…
So should Wizards replace in starting five Jones by other guard? Sadly Delon which would be a logical choice is injured and out at least month.
What’s left is several options. One way is to give a try to Rolins - but it’s not really probable he’s ready to start. Other option is to move to starting line-up Bilal or Shamet and hope that Deni, Kuz and Poole will be able to perform ball-handling and ball-distributing duties.
