In the first half, the Eagles dominated.
The Eagles stiffened after a couple turnovers and didnt give up a score.
THe Eagles gave up 4 FGs (14-12). Limiting your opponent to FGs is alwasy a desirable thing.
The Eagles injuries were significant.
The first turnover was a fluke bounce off Dallas. They happen.
Another turnover was a great play by a Jet knocking it out of Swift’s arm while going down - stud play. Anyone would have given up the ball, based on what I saw.
The last interception by Hurts was a bad decision
The quality of the Jets defense was apparent at many times during the game
The Eagles had two subs in the OLine and it showed all game long.
Devonta “dropped” 3 passes. The last one cost a chance to continue an important possession - He was wide open.
THe two times I noticed Josh Jobe, he committed DPI and gave up a long pass and looked lost. Again the injuries.
Hurts was being chased out of bounds, and he made a great throw down the line to Gainwell who failed to make the catch. This cost us extending an important drive. AJ made one earlier. I continue to fail to see why Gainwell is playing. He is below par and unimpressive. Mediocre is too good a term. Bosco made a couple of nice gains. He should get Gainwell’s snaps. Ken should be on the bench with Penny.
SUMMARY - why we lost
- Two turnovers nothing we could do anything about. In a few games, the ball just bounces in favor of your opponent. That is how probability works.
- Mutiple injuries
- Jets D
- Stone hands on the part of Devonta and Gainwell
- Hurts trying to thread the ball between 2 defenders and pick 6. Ball should not have been thrown.
- The Eagles looked more dominant, but you cannot have that many mistakes and injuries against a good D.
- The Jets beat the Eagles and Bills and lost to KC by 3. They are for real. They deserved to win.
God damn it
