When Mac Jones was drafted, I thought that New England was the best place he could have gone because Coach Saban was part of Belichick’s coaching tree. As I watched him during his rookie season, I thought he would be the guy for y’all.

Then came last season and this season. It’s like I’m watching a completely different player. What happened to him? It looks like his confidence is completely destroyed and he’s getting Darnolded. Is it coaching, lack of roster support, or actual regression on his part?

I get that many of you are upset at Mac’s poor performance this year. I’m not angry however. I’m sad. It hurts to see one of Coach Saban’s best get destroyed in the NFL. I sincerely hope he can benefit from a change of scenery.

Maybe if Saban was coaching the Patriots we’d see the Mac Jones you saw in Alabama.
I feel bad for Mac. The pro’s are really tough and we’re still hanging on to the experience and memory of #12.

Hope Jones has a better chance either here or on another team.

The coaching staff ruined him. No other way to look at it. In the 2022 preseason joint practices with the Giants, he absolutely teabagged Dan Jones. DJ didn’t even look like he belonged on the field with Mac. Since that time he got saddled with a mediocre DC as his OC and a head coach that clearly grew to legitimately hate him by year’s end. Then this year, he got BoB, who is not exactly the best guy in terms of fixing an already broken QB. The stuff Jones is screwing up now is not stuff he was screwing up in his rookie season. I mean, no one could have seen this coming. I always thought that 3 OCs in 3 years on a team with no offensive line and their best skill player being an undersized 6th round pick from Liberty was a recipe for success.
