Doesn’t matter who is hurt or how much we’re down, these guys are playing the right way.

Much rather have that as a foundation than some crazy motion offense. The rest will come.

Although it’s only 9 games in, Portland ranks in either the worst or lowest in nearly every team offensive category…

    Defense so far is meh.

Let’s re-convene after 30 games to have a better measure.

Chauncey has the personnel for his system, so now his system looks good. Still kind of irritated he wouldn’t change his system to suit his players, but he’s put together some great games this season and I hope it continues.

I will hold out on a opinion until season’s end. But he has figured out when to call timeouts and when to challenge, thankfully.

It’s crazy how low the bar is for people for coaching abilities for the Blazers.

Udoka has made the Rockets look like a completely different team in less than 10 games from last year. We’re still waiting for a “style” to emerge from over 2+ years of Chauncey. My favorite thing is the zone defense that gives up leads in 45 seconds.

It’s just crazy actually seeing tangible actual progress on younger teams so quickly and then posts like this.

So the bar wasn’t low before he got there!? They’ve been a lottery team since harden left lol doesn’t take much to show improvement there.ugh of their improvement can also be attributed to the FVV signing. Having a vet that can run the offense for a young team is huge.

yall are so reactionary. willing to fire him like 2 months into his tenure and now he’s looking like the right guy after just 9 games.

imo the only real conclusion you can make on him is that he wasn’t the right coach for the previous roster/possibly for a contender (at least not yet). jury’s still out on if he’s good for rebuilding/player development

It’s almost as if our irrational fan based that wanted him fired before coaching his first game were shocked he didn’t become Phil Jackson in 2 seasons.

It matters a ton who has been injured - it changes the flow of the game and how we play.

His offensive sets are still cheeks. We should hold off on crowning him an even mediocre coach until he has scoot and ant back. Remember, your defense is only as good as the holes you can cover up. And the only hole in the floor is currently sharp on pnr. We are basically only playing plus defenders that can’t shoot and we’ve known they were good defenders. That’s why we are too 10
