I’m genuinely curious about what this sub thinks about this game.

He had some nice throws, that a starting QB needs to make, mixed in with the same inaccuracy issues we’ve seen all year. So very much a mixed bag

Is this the best we’ve seen of Love?

I think it probably was his best game. His accuracy could still use work, but it looks like it’s improving. He had two chances at a game winning drive and managed to march right down the field. Unfortunately they couldn’t capitalize on either, but the Steelers have the 4th best red zone defense in the NFL so it’s not terribly surprising.

As for the two picks, the first one is really just a great play by the defender and probably 8 times out of 10 it just falls incomplete. If he’d put it a bit higher the defender couldn’t have tipped it, but it would have been an awkward catch for Watson. The second one was just a rushed throw because of the pressure. The guard and center got manhandled and pushed right into his lap. I think ideally you want him to step up in the pocket there and buy a little more time, but I’m not sure he could have done that without taking a sack. He didn’t have enough time so he just took his primary read.

Gotta be Chicago. Are you asking because of his yardage? That’s the only way I could understand asking if that was anybody’s best game. The bar is incredibly low, but he missed so many throws again. In the fourth quarter, the Packers had three drives that ended in a punt and 2 red zone INT (although the last play of the game was only ever going to end that way when there’s twice as many DB as WR camped in the end zone). He had some fine chunk plays to Wicks, Reed, and Musgrave but to me he’s just okay as a passer. He’s not in the toilet with your Tommy Devito/Zac Wilson types, but somehow light years behind Josh Dobbs right now. I don’t envy the person who has to decide on his future at the end of this season.

This sub wouldn’t know a ham sandwich if it hit them right in the face. They’d be like….”FIRE THE BREAD-MAKER!! FIRE THE PIG FROM WHICH THE HAM CAME. FIRE JIMMY JOHNS. THIS HAM IS SPAM”.

I kid, I kid. Jordan Love looked great yesterday. Can’t pin those two INT’s on him. Watson needs to go get the ball and what’s he supposed to do on that final play? Pittsburgh’s defense great. It’s a young team and they played really, really well. The kid is improving.

The throw he made to Reed with less than minute looked like the sheer talent of Mahomes( across his body and falling backwards) and the chemistry Favre and Jennings used to have. The offence is getting better. His mechanics still suck(someone pointed out how bad his heck downs are). That throw was the ah ha moment 4 me. I dont think he becomes elite but he can def be in the top 10.

Even 3rd string QBs can throw decent passes from time to time.
