My wife thinks I am crazy.
Hypothetical situation: Zack Wilson has demonstrated consistent and considerable improvement and growth under center. He has delivered a solid W each week up to the week AR8 is healthy to play (week 10?). Who do you start?
Unless Wilson miraculously becomes the best QB in the league, 8 starts when he’s healthy. This team is completely built around him
Rodgers no question. Zach is still being carried by the defense.
Rodgers, if healthy enough that playing a game won’t end his career. Otherwise, I’d prefer Rodgers to wait and get healthier
Your wife is right.
this to me depends on when Rodgers comes back. if he’s back before the playoffs he should obviously start. but I wouldn’t want his debut to be a knockout game if Zach were a competent alternative. it also depends on how they look at practice
week 10 would be ridiculous lmao
It’s Rodgers unless ZW’s putting up Pro Bowl numbers as opposed to about average numbers.
I think it depends on if we might have a post season and how hard we want to stress AR. I’d rather see him start but not play full games. Zach has to be able to rotate in.
If there’s no chance of a post season I see no reason for AR to go 4 quarters with no breaks. 2 quarters works. But to be clear Rodgers is our guy, no question.
I love Rodgers but I feel like he’s rushing back from the injury. If Zach is progressing and the offense is clicking and we’re in the playoff picture I believe Rodgers should start come playoffs.
If rodgers comes on bCk on week 18 with the playoffs on the line I’m starting rodfers no matter what.
You give Rodgers plenty of time to be 100% healthy in that scenario. But then full send Rodgers into the Super Bowl
Is this a real question?
Zach and let Aaron heal even further. Make sure AR gets some first team reps in practice.
Aaron is not coming back week 10 😂. Everything that’s been floated around has been week 15 at the earliest, and even that would be miraculous. Can we try to be realistic here?
I think this is a fair debate because I don’t think Aaron will be truly “ready” from a medical perspective to start at all by end of season. To throw him out there at all this season would be a major risk, perhaps not for re-injury because re-injury of repaired Achilles is extremely rare, but more so for a risk of new injury due to the repaired leg being favored due to weakness of calf muscle which requires a considerable amount of time to rebuild strength.
