Give credit where credit is due. Since the San Francisco game, Dak has perhaps had the strongest run of QB play of his career and perhaps anything we’ve seen since the 90s.
Coming up Dallas plays.
If Dak keeps playing like this, he will be firmly an MVP candidate. This is not only a credit to Dak stepping up but McCarthy and his willingness to abandon what wasn’t going to work. The run heavy, conservative mindset when this team believed it had the best defense in the NFL changed very quickly to the aggressive, vertical offense we knew this roster was capable of. That’s good coaching.
Not many QBs in the league are capable of playing like Dak has the past four weeks. Say what you want about the playoff success but Dak is firmly a top 10 QB in this league.
Coming up we will learn a lot about this team when we play.
If we can come out of that stretch at least .500 this is a very dangerous wildcard team. Playoff caliber football starts earlier than usual on our schedule so we should all hope we use the slate of teams ahead of us to build on successes and roll into Philly with a win streak.
Due to our bad conference record relative to the other wildcard teams like Vikings and Seahawks, we cannot afford to tie in W-L
It’s still more likely that we’re in but there is still a scenario alive and well where we don’t make playoffs
Let’s hope the cowboys curse takes over in Philly
