From watching yesterday’s game between the Colts and Pats and seeing after the game where Mac clearly looked like he just got done crying it puzzles me to see how can an organization messed up a kid this badly. I’m not excusing Mac’s poor play. That last INT would get most QB’s benched anyways but overall from ignoring getting him quality skill position players to the Patricia,Judge disaster last year. From what I’ve seen BOB is scheming up good plays but Mac looks broken beyond repair. I feel a bit sad for him, not too much since he’s getting millions of dollars to play a game and a lot of it is on his poor play. Makes me more grateful that the Fins realized they were failing Tua early on. If a QB is set up to fail then don’t be shocked when he fails

I totally agree. I never thought Jones was a franchise guy, possibly a Garropolo journey man type or something, but what he is going thru on that team is inexcusable.

Only thing I don’t get, is why are they still handcuffing him? Are they afraid of losing? They’re already doing that. Obviously, they need to move on from him, but may as well let him air it out. Maybe he makes some big plays, gets his confidence up, and generates some trade equity. Best thing teams are doing for these young QBs is surrounding them with talent. Unless you’re the Jets, then it’s just a lost cause. But, some offense line improvement might go a long way there, but I doubt it. FTJ/FTP

I can’t thank Grier enough for selecting Tua over Herbert. For siding with Tua over Flo. For finding an HC who believes in Tua. And for bringing in speedsters like Waddle and Hill as weapons for Tua. Grier went all in on Tua and put his career on the line. Of all the great things Grier has done (e.g. Tunsil trade), choosing Tua may be his greatest legacy.

my pre draft grade on mac was that he was a career backup. Pats didnt fail him, he is just what he is. Over drafted, limited QB, who makes too many mistakes.

The only thing that has changed in my eyes is his attitude is HORENDOUS. He may not even make it as a backup with thatattitude now.
