I am at the point where I don’t think WR is a high priority position for the Colts in the draft. It was a fun thought when we were in line to get MHj, if we can bring in Devante Adams in the offseason, then great! I’m all for it. But if the Colts pay Pittman, Downs has more than proven he is a stud and should get better as time goes on. Pittman and JT are going to be getting too much money at that point to use our first rounder on another guy that is gonna demand the ball.

As I see it, here are our draft priorities

CB CB CB DT (we eventually need to get cheaper and younger here) LB (Ballard is so good at drafting these guys. Get us another guy before Speed and Franklin ask for the bag) Guard (RG is looking pretty solid, but we’ve seen what happens when we ignore the position for too long) WR/TE/BPA (if Bowers or Nabers falls to our spot then I think those guys would be really smart picks. Especially Bowers with how featured TE was when AR was in. But at the same time if a stud Pass rusher fell then I’d be fine with taking that guy.)

Honestly this just feels like another trade back year for Ballard, so I’m not getting my hopes to high on the 1st round anyway.

People are really ignoring that Rodney Thomas has been absolutely terrible. He keeps fucking up assignments. Doesn’t help that our CBs are terrible but imo the needs are CB>>S>anybody else

We should draft the best available player as the pick could be in the 20s. We shouldn’t force something.

It will be a trade back or bpa with the first rounder. Might even be an olineman. Im just not concerned with the draft currently. We need depth in the offseason but there is a goood nucleus here already and we got our coach and qb. Lets just enjoy the rest of this bonus season and see if we can sneak into the yoffs.

I agree. They’ve struggled at times but this team has more life in than I’ve seen out of a Colts team in years. I’m enjoying this season

Ballard has never drafted a need just to fill a need for the sake of it

CB, Edge, WR. TE. This draft isn’t great for edge. Deep at WR and CB. Gotta get a true, #1 playmaker at TE in my opinion. If Bowers is there when we pick, take him.

Got to disagree. 1. You need at least three sold receivers these days, and Pierce hasn’t shown it’s him, 2. If Moore re-signs, they’ll have him, Brents, Jones and Flowers at CB.

Unless theres a stud CB that slips to our 1st pick, id trade back if possible, stockpile them second rounders where Ballard seems to shine

Then ideally focus on the secondary

This is the offseason Ballard gets aggressive. He’s not out of the woods and if we miss the playoffs for the third straight year, Irsay is going to be putting immense pressure on Chris. We may even trade up to get the guy we want. If next year, we don’t make the playoffs, Ballard is probably fired.
