Hayward doesn’t fit your timeline and is on an expiring. It seems to make sense to trade him instead of losing him for nothing in free agency.
Sixers need someone who can run pick and roll while Maxey is on the bench. How is his defense these days?
What’s your asking price for him? I don’t think the Sixers would give up a first round pick for him since he is expiring. Seconds and swap rights is the maximum I see along with expirings and maybe Jaden Springer who has potential but struggles to get minutes because of our wing depth
I think a big part of the issue would be us taking back salary, because salaries will have to match. Not sure the 76ers have a trade exception, so that means we gotta take back like Morris and probably another salary. I think the Hornets would want your 2024 1st (protected obviously, not like that’ll matter).
