growing up in SoCal i always been the minority Clippers fan. i respect the Lakers franchise but coming up i could not stand their fan base. the Lakers fan base of the early 2000s was a different breed of arrogance.

one day i turned on a Clippers vs Warriors game and i really liked our red jersey with the Clippers in cursive. since then i gravitated to the team and here i am 2+ decades later. our G-League team being based nearby in Ontario is cool too, i pop in for a few games a season.

i was always the only Clipper fan growing up and man those Laker fans used to talk all kinds of shit to me lol making fun of me for wearing Clippers hat or gear, trying to get me to switch sides. but i consider myself to be somewhat of an underdog so the Clippers really spoke to me. fast forward to today i feel like we may have the brightest future in the league, despite the current dramas.

anyway, where are you all from and what drew you to becoming a Clipper fan?

I’m from New England, have no allegiance to local teams, primarily an OKC guy as a franchise goes but I came in on the train with Russ and doubled down with Harden. Always loved PG and Kawhi, had a lot of fun watching the Lob City days too. Ultimately I care more about players I like and want to see them win rings, LAC could check three of those boxes at once. I’ll admit I’m basically a stan of two of the most polarizing guys in the league but try not to be delusional or root for them individually over the team. I’d rather see the Clippers win it all with Westbrook and Harden injured or benched if that’s what it takes. Ideally though I’d like to see them excel as a team and help amend their and PG’s ringless narratives. Plus Kawhi winning three with three franchises would be dope
