Am I the only one seeing that some of the short passes where he just throws right away, might be some designed quick throws?

Or some of the longer developing pass plays were blown up instantly because the line gave up pressure almost instantly?

Also mason Cole looks like he’s getting pushed back on nearly every single play someone is lined up against him. I think it’s pretty hard to sit in the pocket and go through your progression when there’s a defender in your face cause your center has fallen down or got bull rushed into your lap.

My dad and I were at dinner and caught some of the cowboys game, and they replayed Dak’s four TD throws. All 4 of them, he had a perfectly clean set pocket, with plenty of space on all sides.

If kenny starts getting consistently clean pockets like that, and is still rolling out or missing reads, then I think we have cause of concern. Otherwise, I think he’s just being smart and trying to adapt to play expecting his line to breakdown during pass protection.

This data doesn’t include the most recent game, but it shows that it’s not an issue of pass protection. Pickett actually gets more than average clean pockets to work with and performs worse than average from them.

The problem to my eye is a clean pocket vs. a perfect pocket. Pickett gets happy feet and uncomfortable when the pocket isn’t perfect - even when he’s got space to step up or reset he bails completely and/or drops his eyes to the rush.
