Last year, the August R6 major was originally supposed to take place in the United Arab Emirates, but due to a huge outcry from the community, this decision was reversed. This was due community outrage in response to the region’s poor humanitarian and poor track record of acceptance of LGBT+ members (which are still blatant problems across several Middle Eastern countries).

Now, I’ve seen streamers, such as /u/MacieJay, sponsor the eSports World Cup in Saudi Arabia in their recent content. I’m disappointed that content creators are taking money from a brutal, authoritarian regime to sponsor Siege content.

You’re either dumb or you like your selective morality world.
China uses childswork to manufacture phones - do you have a smartphone?
Bangladesh uses childswork to get you clothes - do you wear Nike/Adidas/Fruit of the Loom?

Germans did WW2 - should we boycott Germany too?
Esports are not the law, global esports are not connected in any shape or form to any union of states, especially Saudis.

You can talk all you want about the Middle East abuses, but don’t connect those two completely unrelated things!

There is a difference between supporting child safety and LGBTQ rights lol. Also WW2 was over 70 years ago, what the fuck does the germany of today have to do with that. Go grasp for some bad idiotic arguments somewhere else.
