I’m sure many of you are tired of the PG conversation. Attainable PGs like Brogdon would certainly hamstring the ability to retain talent or recruit.

So who would you like to see on the move? Personally, Fournier for McBuckets makes sense as NYK has 4 1st rounders this year and 2 next year. I’m sure we could revitalize Fournier and Doug gets a playoff run.

Other than that I like the idea of buying low on Robert Williams like we did with Collins.

Again enough with the Point guard bickering, in the words of Pop “it’s gonna take some time”

I seriously doubt he would be available, but I’m honestly curious what the asking price for Giddey would be. He has been having a down year so far, and OKC will soon have too many mouths to feed. I doubt they will go into the luxury tax to give SGA, Giddey, Chet, and Jalen Williams max money.

Could end up like the Harden situation years back.

The question is, how many picks can OKC have before they no longer move the needle?

They don’t have to worry about that for a while. They can pay SGA and Giddy. Williams and Chet first non rookie salary year would be 2026-27. By then the cap will be so high they can fit another high salary. There’s no reason to jump the gun and assume Giddy will be the odd man out. They are not going to tade him 3 years early just because of a down year.

As far as picks Presti talked about why he’s saving the picks. It’s for this very situation. He could use one of those players and picks to get a the final piece to a championship team. He’s not trading Giddy for more picks and the Spurs don’t have anyone that can help them win a championship…other than Wemby.

If Toronto is terrible by the deadline and we still need a PG, I say we trade for Dennis Schroder. I feel like he’s a good player that will set up Wemby into situations that’ll get him to score easily. Also he’s a decent 3pt/shooter if that matters lol. Kinda wanted the Spurs to get him during free agency. I also don’t think we would have to give alot for him.

I’d love nembhard as a point guard for us. I’m sure he’s gettable for the right price and could probably slot in as a tyus/Tre Jones point guard with better shooting

I’m sure we could revitalize Fournier

He’s shooting 30% from three. The Spurs should not trade one of the best shooters in the league to bet on revitalizing Fournier. What makes you so sure the Spurs can do that? He’s not an upgrade.

Collins had broken bones (like Derrick White). I don’t think betting on Robert Williams knees is the same level of risk. This is his 3rd knee operation since entering the NBA. I would love to be wrong. I think he’s a great defender and we could use him. Although I’m not sure a non-shooting big makes sense next to Wemby.
