The fact that I woke up and there is no one fired tells me confirms everything we already knew about this team from week 1.

One dude on the team spent the whole season never being on the field goal defense team and just decided: you know what, let’s do that.

Don’t go over to r/nfl today. It’s a shit on the bills party with those fickle clowns over there.

    I want to be optimistic, i want to get behind this group, but i can’t. I don’t know how you fix this team. I know what the flaws are;

Allen has regressed greatly. The guy is a total turnover machine now. He seems like he is downright incapable of reading defenses, throwing at times to triple covered receivers.

Dorsey is a complete mess. Another Shotgun Draw is the least of my worries. The guy is incapable of scheming run concepts, he is incapable of scheming our receivers open, he is awful.

McDermott is interesting to say the least. He had this defense going much longer than it had any right to with all the missing pieces. However, the guy seems to be just stupid in the big moments. 12 men on the field, 13 seconds, etc. Idk how you gauge him. To me, he needs to go.

We have a ton of people playing who shouldn’t be. Dodson should never see the field again, nor should Von or Gabe Davis. Dodson is just a total liability, Von doesn’t give a fuck anymore judging by the multiple times he jogged up to Wilson, and Gabes hands of stone cost the Bills a turnover yesterday. That turnover is on him 100%.

It all leads back to Beane, but again idk how you decide what to do with him. He drafts well enough; he has some misses but everyone does, and his late round picks are really good. His salary cap management has been crap tho.

Idk what you do man. I can’t see myself tuning in for a bunch more games this season. I have better things to do with my afternoons than watch this team lose in infuriating ways. Watching this team is the football equivalent of having your eyes gouged out with a rusty spoon. Idk why I will continue to put myself through it or if I even will for this season.

Fuck this team, see you all next week.

Trying to think outside the box a bit. As a Buckeye fan I would hate this, but poaching Brian Hartline as an OC after the season might be interesting. I’ve never seen anyone coach up receivers the way he does. He’s been the WR coach, passing game coordinator, and became the OC this season. I have no idea if he wants to coach in the NFL, but it might be worth putting out a feeler for him. He’s doing a good job maximizing talent with a brand new QB who is definitely nowhere near as good as Stroud was, he’s worked with a mobile QB in the past in Fields, he doesn’t abandon the run game (and has a very similar corral of backs in Henderson, Trayanum, and Williams when they’re all healthy at once), and knows how to use a TE with good hands as an easy outlet if MHJ is getting doubled. Losing him would suck for my alma mater, but I think he has the potential to do well with our existing roster.

We have the talent. In fact, we have more talent than most other rosters in the NFL.

What we lack is the coaching to get the most out of it on the offensive side of the ball.

McD is a top tier DC not taking that away from him. But he early can’t get the offensive talent to gel. Most of that is on Dorsey but this is McD’s team and it’s past time for him to figure it out.

We must be prepared to have another down season next year. If coaches get fired and a new regime comes in, it’s going to take some time to mold this team into what he wants. There are no quick fixes. No bitching next year. Oh and wait for the Diggs blowback when that happens.

Why even try to change personnel on the FG attempt? You’re not gonna be able to jump the snap in that situation because Denver is hurrying, so the only people who would have had a chance a blocking the kick were the interior linemen that would have already been out there.

After last night, I gotta ask: Are people still defending Dorsey and McD? Josh’s turnovers aside, we were finally moving the ball down field at a steady clip, and then decide to go back to throwing and kill the drive? Then at the two minute mark, instead of attempting to kill literally any time, they just immediately drive it in for a TD, giving the Broncos nearly two full minutes to work with. Even draining 30 seconds could’ve changed things (yes, I know the deciding moment was the huge DPI on Taron, but with less time, the Broncos might have called their plays different, and we wouldn’t have been in that situation).

Don’t even get me started on McD and his lack on an explanation in post game interviews, where he just passes the blame without directly pointing fingers (like subtley throwing our ST under the bus with the “we practiced that play all week” line)

Jim Kelly used to throw an absolutely bonehead pick every game it seemed to the point where I used to say I hope he gets it out of his system early. The difference is he would laugh it off or at least it obviously didn’t bother him. Another thing about Kelly was he could be a real prick and didn’t care who you were he would tell you if you weren’t pulling your weight. He had a lot of respect because of it. Kelly would get mad when things weren’t going well, Josh seems to get upset.

I was at the game so I didn’t see it. Can someone tell me, did Sean Peyton challenge the first Broncos TD play or did the refs decide to review a play that was called incomplete on the field and then just gave them a TD? So much wild shit happened last night that made zero sense (turnover in the first offensive play, nearly a turnover in the 2nd offensive play) I am just checking if the refs decided “you know what? Let’s give ‘em the TD. Why the hell not?!”
