I know this subreddit doesn’t like it but I’m going to make the case for it:

Reason #1

Defense: OG Anunoby is arguably the best wing defender in the NBA he would slot perfectly next to Joel Embiid anchoring that defense from the POA while Joel can clean up on the backline

Reason #2

Offense: With Maxey breaking out the last thing you want to do is bring in another ball-dominant star like a Pascal Siakam or Zach Lavine.

That’s not the case with OG though his strength on the offense is hitting C&S shoot jumpers on volume it can be from above the break or the corner 41% on spot up 3’s on 5 attempts within the last 3 years !!!.

He can also leverage his shooting into catch and drives when teams recklessly close out on him. Another bonus add is that since he’s a really good defender at the POA, it opens up his transition game as well where he’s been in the 90th percentile in the league in the last 3 years.

Summary:

High Level All-Defense Caliber Defender, Shoots C&S 3’s at a high level, slots in perfectly he’s not high usage and again he’s awesome on defense I want to see him and Joel tear it up together on that end.

TLDR:

+++ Defender, GREAT C&S GUY, and low usage!

Some OG offense and defense stuff

I’m getting really tired of these daily trade proposal posts. A: the team has won 8 straight and but for a horse shit phantom foul on Dame would be undefeated. So why is everyone obsessed with roster changes?

B: we can’t make any moves until after January when the Clipper assets can be moved, so it’s a pointless exercise until next year.

It’s a deadline exercise just because you’re great doesn’t mean you can’t become even greater Toronto in 2018-19 at the deadline made the Gasol move

He’s not moving the needle the same way OG would.

I pretty much view an OG Anunoby trade as the final move to solidify yourself as a top dog like what Denver did with Aaron Gordon

He’s a great fit. But dealing with Masai is a nightmare. He’s already allowed FVV and Lowry to walk in FA instead of taking deals for them. I think he’ll demand a lot for OG
