He’s a great motivator. His players generally respect the hell out of him, and he can coach them up well. He does a great job keeping team chemistry through losses/nonsense.
He is average at Xs and Os. He does not like to use young players unless he has to and stunts development. In the same vein, he leans on veterans even when their performances decline.
Currently I think he has way too much say in the overall operation. He’s the coach and he should not have final say in draft or personnel. He’s at his best with great offensive/defensive minds as coordinators. Currently he doesn’t have that and that’s a core part of the issues we see.
