I just got the “your communication is not in line with the rest of the OW community” warning, but I’m genuinely confused because for once in my life I’m not toxic in my games anymore. I have done NOTHING to warrant the warning. I’ve told people to switch heros. I’ve been told off myself. I’ve chatted with people with all good vibes. But nothing to warrant a warning. I would love to see proof of my misbehavior so I can read it over and realize “Oh okay I see, telling my team we need more damage is a toxic behavior” rather then playing a guessing game of which time I said GG counted as hurtful
The problem is it used to be a thing in the contesting process.
I was once muted for THIRTEEN DAYS because I kept calling out an aimbotter that was first on my team, then on the enemy team. I got the notification of their suspension and then my mute.
In the current state of things, your best bet is to just turn comms off entirely. Voice and text.
Good luck, I got this message a few days ago and proceeded to turn chat off because clearly people will report you even if you only type “GG”. And… logged in today to find my account is suspended for two weeks. Literally didn’t type or say a single fucking thing, and I’m banned from the game I love. I really do hope they do something about the report system because it’s clear people are abusing it but it’s blizzard so I bet they never touch it, they’re okay with thousands of innocent players getting screwed.
Yeah this game is trash
I actually did a test, they will ban for simply saying ggez, ez, diff and such. And apparently some people believe that gg means"get good". So I can see that as well…
The test consisted of me making multiple alt accounts, all brand new, doing the steps to be able to actually pay with other players, joining my friend’s squad that has no previous connection to the alt accounts, and simply only saying, “ggez”, “ez”, “diff” and a few other simple things. And only saying those in team chat so that the enemy has no legitimate reason to report me. And getting chat bans and warnings.
