Since we’ve never really been in this position before, I just assume a lot of Michiganders used to have a mild interest in games outside of Lions world.
When you’re a perennial loser team, you don’t have a lot to contrast against.
I find myself checking stats, scores and everything else with a passion I’ve never had before.
Anyone else?
Ill watch a bit of TNF and MNF but I put all my football energy into the Lions. I might pay more attention to teams that I have fantasy players a bit but it’s minimal.
I watch as much football as I can during the NFL season. I typically tune into games where I have fantasy players going.
Red Zone is great, if you know where in the east of your local stream to look for it.
I stopped caring about other teams lol went the other way don’t watch nearly as much football between going to the games and being too excited to watch games after lions victories
I usually keep games on. Its realistically 5 months of a year we get genuine football. On Saturday, i will watch Michigan and have a random college game on before or after. On Sunday, It’s the Lions and then whatever game is before or after them (time dependant). I am not picky about games, just never really watch any NFCN teams because FTNFCN. I watch MNF, but usually end up falling asleep by the 3rd Q. TNF is garbage so not really, and then Saturday rolls around an rinse and repeat.
The Lions were so bad for so long, but I still wanted to watch football, so I’d just watch the rest of the league, pretty much up until the Dan Campbell hire.
Watching the rest of the NFL is fun. I don’t wanna be a Lions slappy.
I always just watched NFC teams. Bucs, Saints, and Eagles were always my backup plans. When the Bucs signed Brady, and Drew Brees and Sean Payton retired, I stopped watching football for a few years. I didn’t start watching again until Hard Knocks turned me on to MCDC.
Now, I have NFL+ so I can watch every game, every week. I’m back in a fantasy league, and I just love the game in general because it’s so nice to finally have a little skin in the game.
Yes only because sports betting is now legal in my state and I’m already up several thousand dollars. Lol
Less, I used to care about playoff standing and what it meant for NFL as a whole, but now that I have a vested interest in one contending team I really only care how they do
I play that fantasy football so I always watch scores and keep up stuff going on in the league.
There has been times when I cared more about my fantasy squad than the Lions. This year Detroit’s looking great and my team sucks, so it’s swinging the other way.
My viewing habits are about the same. I watch Redzone during whatever time slot we don’t play, and I’ll switch over to a specific game if I’m particularly interested for whatever reason. I also try to watch TNF, SNF, and MNF, but most of the time I fall asleep around halftime haha
I feel like I have a lot less interest in other teams this year compared to normal. When we’re losing every game I feel like I need to pay attention to the rest of the league so I can have an idea as to who I should be intrigued to root for come playoff time. Now that we look poised to make a run, I am happy to watch each of the other 31 teams lose as I have no reason to have any interest in any of them.
I’m in a few fantasy leagues, so it’s something I tend to do a lot.
Some but not really I’m still mostly just watching lions games. I might check in on others to see the score
