Don’t let games where they show a little competitiveness fool you. Even the worse teams in the record holder (76’ers) and the Bobcats still were competitive in games.

This team is really that bad. There is no fight, no heart, nothing. I think most of them would probably do better elsewhere, but them as a team does not gel.

I really think this is the year the Pistons take the reins of the worst record of all time and our FO will stay quiet mostly. Troy will release a statement in a few weeks saying, “It’s hard, rebuilds take time, we are frustrated too” and so on. He will make a meaningless trade before the deadline, then the lottery drawing is here where we get shafted again, free agency rolls around, and we do nothing again. This upper management from the ownership to the GM really think they have the future of the NBA on on the roster and they will not budge from that. I think we are sadly stuck with a bad owner who just does not care and wants the team to resemble what he thinks a good team is, just like WCF did with the Lions for decades. We are screwed for a long time and sadly that is a reality we are going to have to accept.

  • Sheila is a bit different. She was exposed to the Lions for most of her life, Michigan Native, etc. I understand Gores is from here also, but he is a Cali boy at heart. He loves his Beverly Hills life.

The thing with Sheila is, she is actually connected to the community. She listens, she observes, she takes criticism and says, “how can i fix this”. Deep down she loves her team, her state, her city, the people, etc. She had to sit idle for decades while her dad let this franchise get embarrassed over and over and i bet it killed her. Martha was not any better when she took over, but Martha was smart enough to let it go.

Tom does not give a shit about the state, the fans, the city, nothing. He wants a sports team that he can play real life 2K with and rake in his revenue.

One of the worst things you can have is a bad owner. Outside of an egregious moral cause, there is nothing the fans, or the NBA can do about it. Tom is free to run his team however he wants, and we cannot do diddly shit about it.

Unless you want to really get cringy, our legit option is to protest the team online, stop buying tickets, nag the local stations to get the story out. Cringy option, but probably the only one.

It’s like William Clay Ford SR. came back from the dead and took over the Pistons. This ownership under Gores is very Ford Family-Esque.

That means we only have to deal with it for 30ish more years until one of his kids with a brain finally says enough.

iron wall like defense of the wallaces/billups/hamilton/PRINCE teams. Living in the past is its own kinda pain but man this hurts as a fan way worse.

Man, what a good time it was for Pistons fans with those guys. Due to age, i was alive during the bad boys, but i don’t really remember any of it. I caught on to Detroit Basketball around 1999 and it was iffy at that time. Then Dumars & Rick Carlisle came in, righted the ship. I got to see the early shine of Ben Wallace, Last days of Jerry Stackhouse in Detroit (we got Ripin a trade), had Jon Barry chuckin 3’s from deep when all of today’s snipers were in diapers. Things looked good. Then that 2002-2003 season came and we took off and became one of the best teams in the early 2000’s.

Then just like that, poof. all gone

I hate to say it, but it’s probably time to clean house again.

Keep the core which i believe should be Cade, Duren & Ausar. I know Ivey is strong favorite here, but he is the only one we can offer that can net a decent return right now unless we offer Cade. I would actually be ok with Ivey over Cade.

Outside of those 3 core players, tear this shit down and start again. That means letting Troy go also.

  • I was so mad that after the Bears scored the FG to go up 26-14 i just walked outside and started checking light bulbs outside for literally no reason. I was FUMING. I came back in, looked at the TV again and vibe was different before starting the comeback and i just sat down and watched. Once Dmo hit that tuddy i was SCREAMING. When hutch got the safety, my wife and i were screaming to where the dog panicked and hid for 2 hours
