Lately there’s been a lot of hate towards Mojhang for pretty much every addition they have done, complaining about lack of content (despite releasing more content than in older versions) since the team is owned by Microsoft (which has nothing to do with time spent on design). Or simply with adding “filler” content just because they can’t find a use for it.

But whenever i ask “what would you do instead” i always get a different and usually conflicting answer and often said answer would harm Vanilla’s design.

It honestly feels like people do not want vanilla Minecraft anymore (probably because they got bored) and just want something new and different, which would fall under a different game if anything.

I have seen people complain that lower caves are too big now, despite there not being lower caves before the update that introduced them (you can literally just not go below Y=0 and you won’t have to deal with them) and despite the fact that everyone has been asking for underground biomes.

I have also seen people complaining that Mojhang only adds 1 or 2 biomes per update, which is way more than in the past (and again, would be a heavy content bloat to add any more per update)

People asked for a boss for the longest time, and when the Warden, the most involved and interesting boss so far was added, people complained about it being too difficult to deal with or simply being boring. So apparently people wanted another Whiter to hit into bedrock for a bit?

I also remember when people complained that the Allay was useless because inventory sorting existed, despite none of those systems being able to essentially suck in items from the enviroment and the fact that this mob can be automated.

And who could forget people claiming that the old jitter-clicking was more interesting than different cooldowns and damage values per weapons.

There is also things like hate towards the mob vote arguing that all mobs should be added, despite being an important content bloat to do so and making many of the problems that people complain about even worse. Which usually ends with people saying “they just should not show stuff they won’t add” for some reason because showing concepts is bad now?

I honestly do not understand what people want, and i don’t think many know themselves either.
