Operation: Human Shield
I mean I know it sounds silly, but he can REALLY be used in those short yardage goalline / inches situations because he does have a decent amount of mobility, obviously he’s a QB and can throw, but he’s also got some push so the tush push (at least this season since rumblings are it might meet a rule next year after the owners meeting) works too.
Yeah, probably not what he would like ideally… but its a pivotal role when you’ve got a balanced O that often puts up the run and “and inches” isn’t too uncommon when it does hit 4th down.
I’m totally cool with it on the goal line but if it’s 4th down, I’d rather have Murray out there. You may not want to do the tush push then but you should have something else you can dial up to make it work.
Somehow having a big backup QB run your sneaks eluded Kliff’s entire coaching tenure here in Arizona.
If you have an undersized QB, a Taysom Hill is an ideal thing to have on your roster.
You don’t remember when we had Chris Streveler do this a few times?
Some big Kyler Murray hater put a lot of money on a Clayton Tune anytime touchdown this week and got paid out big in the strangest way.
