While I dont agree with the premise of the article, there’re some pretty good stats about where this seasons D ranks

    I’m not a sol fan… but yeah.

This defense repeatedly has had issues finishing. Allowing big conversions and letting qb run has been killing them.

Imo, lions have a issue that they don’t have “the guy”.

Like a glover Quinn, suh, slay, even a ansah.

A guy you could trust to be consistent and great all game.

Right now lions lbs, dline, and secondary are all too inconsistent.

Secondary plays well, dline can’t get to the qb.

Dline getting pressure, secondary allows a check down to go for 10 yards.

Secondary and dline do their job. Slot and lbs are out position and allow a completion.

It’s why I was so desperately hoping lions could trade for a stud player but none were available. Lions just need that cornerstones.

Hutch flashes it but simply isn’t there yet. Same with Alim at times.

Our defense has allowed basically the same amount of points through 9 games as the Chiefs allowed last year through 9 games.

As long as we allow fewer than 24 against the Bears, we’ll have fewer points allowed than the Chiefs through 10 games.

It turned out OK for them.

As long as we don’t face good teams in the playoffs, we will be amazing.

    Oh wait…
