It’s interesting how those are the type of picks the Thunder used to make when Weaver was there, and we’ve mostly stopped drafting that type of player since he left. He needs to wake up and realize it’s just not working out.

Giddey immediately tried to give Chet a high five right after the shot. Not sure what you were seeing. This team is as close and connected as any team I’ve ever seen honestly.
Wish I could have got that feed, instead I’m stuck with Michael Cage stuttering the dumbest shit all night.
So many geniuses who think they know better than the coach who sees the players every day in practice, meetings, workouts, Etc. We lost that game because basically no one outside of Shai could make a shot. People trying to pin that loss on something like Lindy getting minutes are ridiculous. Coach has an extremely young team completely bought in, playing and defending hard, and most of our young guys are developing quickly and are already better than anticipated. If he thinks player X deserves some minutes on a given night, then I do too. The team was missing shots and got a little rattled in one of the toughest places to play on the road. Games like this will happen. I, for one, have complete faith in Coach Mark.
Lindy was not the reason we lost that game. Coach’s rotations have been much more consistent this year, we generally play our top guys and there’s 1, maybe 2 spots per night where he will try one of our bench players who he thinks will help us that game. Accountability? For playing Waters? Give me a break. I see nothing wrong with trying different guys against different teams, as long as the core minutes getters are out there. We’re trying to develop long term success here. Thank God you’re not the coach or GM. “Demanding accountability” from the coach for trying out a player you don’t like for 20 minutes is some entitled douchebag shit.
I’ve learned to just ignore them. It’s honestly hilarious to see how many “coaching experts” we have around here that think if Mark just would have done what they would have done, this would have been a W… it’s always the player he did/didn’t play or the extra minutes he didn’t give that were the difference in the game, not the best defense in the league led by Gobert shutting down Chet, or J Dub building a mansion with bricks… Valid criticism of decisions is fine. I think we should have given Cason more minutes, for instance. But acting like Mark is “throwing away winnable games” because he didn’t follow the exact substitution pattern you wanted is laughable. When our 2nd and 3rd best players have games like that against one of the best teams in the league, we’re probably going to lose. It’s a testament to Mark and the “never say die” attitude he’s instilled in this team that we were able to keep it as close as it was in the first place.
