The Steelers, imo.
It’s hard to not detest this offense, a lot of talent, but no identity, no consistency, offensive line is porous, Geno has regressed, and Waldron’s playcalling is inept.
What a melancholic game, just depressing and totally out of reach. I have very little faith in the offensive play calling, the offensive line, or Geno Smith. A sad state of affairs.
How in the hell is that not called PI, the defender is blatantly holding JSN!
This is what concerns me, veteran leadership is important, and outside of Wagner and Brooks, the only other person I’ve seen get fired up on the sidelines is Devon Witherspoon. Where are the leaders on the defensive line and rest of the secondary, or the offense in general, for that matter?
The body language by players (especially on offense) seem to encompass passive, disconnected, dissatisfied, and disgruntled emotions. I’m totally empathetic to people who are introverted (I’m wired that way myself to a certain degree), but you have to move past that and try to uplift your team and show some comradery.
What’s being conveyed and the perception by others matters, and it doesn’t seem like this locker room is playing for one another. I hope that changes moving forward. And it goes without saying that our game planning and play calling need to do more to help Geno and the offense, he seems to have trepidation on his reads, and we have no consistent identity.
